ALTIQ NEXT-GEN Ranger/Everest 28" LED Light Bar Wiring Configuration

ALTIQ NEXT-GEN Ranger/Everest 28" LED Light Bar Wiring Configuration

Easy ADR Approved Integration.

Wiring in your stealth behind grille light bar kit on your Next Gen Ranger is super simple and mostly a direct plug in solution with the majority of the wiring pre-configured.

This light bar kit will fit all Next Gen Ranger and Everest models with variation in wiring configurations, specifically the high beam headlight connection per model, of which is determined by the headlight specification.

With AUX 6 Panel.

For Next Gen with factory Auxiliary switch panel (6 Interior Aux switches + engine bay outputs) you will not require a wiring harness or high beam adaptor. The light bar will connect directly to output 5 or 6 in the engine bay and operate automatically with the high beam circuit, turning off the Aux switch will ensure it does not activate with high beam - think city driving.

Without AUX Panel - Level 1/2/3

For Next Gen without Aux switch panel you will require the Fast Fit single harness.

  • Level 1 and Level 3 headlights, you will require the Headlight Piggy Back Adaptor.
  • Level 2 - you will require the footwell high beam adaptor which integrates the harness with a factory high beam wire located behind the passenger footwell kick panel.

Removing Grille

  • Remove top panel - 13 pcs Phillips head clips, then lift up panel to remove.
  • Remove 2x 10mm Hex bolts.
  • Un-plug Camera Wire (Brown Socket) - Unclip the wire loom
  • Un-plug Camera Washer Tube - Elevate it to the side to avoid water dripping.
  • Remove 2x 10mm Hex Bolts
  • Unclip and remove grille - it will pull forwards, there are retaining clips only on the base of the grille, no fasteners.

Mounting Light Bar

  • Mount brackets to light bar, ensure light bar cable will be positioned on Passenger side when mounted.
  • Remove 10mm Bolt and Plastic clip from bar.
  • Mount light bar with brackets, re-fit 10mm bolt and clip.
  • Feed light bar cable above radiator (adjacent to other cables) towards the battery.

5mm Trimming Of Grille - Where Necessary

Due to different tolerances, some grilles are a little larger and may touch the light bar when fitted. For some grilles we found trimming 2 or 3 mm of two sections of the grille to be necessary. This is a fast and safe job, we advise all grilles to be reduced by 5mm, this will ensure no interferences over corrugated roads.

See highlighted section to reduce by 5mm.

Wiring - with AUX Switch

  • Connect DT plug pig tail. Heat-shrink Red wire to AUX 6 Yellow wire, black to black wire.

Re-install grille and your light bar will work directly with the high beam circuit, turn off Aux 6 switch and the light bar will not activate - as per ADR regulation.

Wiring -Without Aux Switch. Level 1 and 3 Headlights.

  • Fit Fast Fit Single Harness, Route in Cab Switch through firewall and mount (you may swap the universal switch to a specific third party switch of your liking).
  • Connect High Beam Piggy Back adaptor to headlights and Fast Fit Harness via the white socket.
  • Plug in Light bar.

Re-install grille and your light bar will work directly with the high beam circuit, turn off in-cab switch and the light bar will not activate - as per ADR regulation.

Wiring - Without Aux Switch. Level 2 Headlights.

  • Fit Fast Fit Single Harness, Route in Cab Switch through firewall and mount (you may swap the universal switch to a specific third party switch of your liking).
  • Route Footwell High beam extension wire through firewall (passenger side grommet) - unclip passenger kick panel and locate labelled "high beam wire". Connect red wire to high beam. Connect Black to ground/negative (this can be anywhere on the vehicle).
  • Plug in Light bar.

Re-install grille and your light bar will work directly with the high beam circuit, turn off in-cab switch and the light bar will not activate - as per ADR regulation.
