The Gen3 D-MAX Stealth Spot Light Bracket is engineered for maximum compatibility with a no-compromise design that maintains optimal cooling, perfect fitment, and reliable function.
Before You Begin
Safety First: Disconnect the ground terminal on your battery to ensure your safety and prevent any electrical issues or error codes during installation.
Step 1: Remove the Front Grille Assembly
A. Using a trim tool or flathead screwdriver, pop the centre caps of the 7 plastic clips highlighted along the top of the grille. Remove the clips completely, then lift the plastic shroud away from the vehicle.
B. Locate and remove the three additional clips positioned along the top edge underneath the plastic shroud you just removed.
Step 2: Remove the Front Bumper
A. Working underneath the bumper, locate and remove six clips around the outer edges, plus one clip beneath each of the lower plastic panels positioned in front of the recovery points.
B. Move to the wheel arches and remove three clips on each side - you'll find two smaller clips with one larger clip positioned at the top of each wheel arch.
C. Under the vehicle, remove the two nuts located at the front of each wheel well.
Step 3: Disconnect the Bumper
A. With all clips and bolts removed, carefully unclip the bumper from both sides and begin pulling it forward.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: On the passenger side, two electrical plugs remain connected. Simply unclip both electrical connectors before fully removing the bumper.
Step 4: Prepare the Mounting Points
A. Remove the factory clips positioned on either side of the front support beam.
B. Remove the two lower bolts from the centre support beam.
C. Remove the nut shown on the centre support next to the sensor, but leave the upper nut in place.
D. Remove the sensor from its support by squeezing the plastic tabs on the inside using long nose pliers.
Step 5: Install the Gen3 Stealth Bracket
Slide the Gen3 D-MAX Stealth Spot Light Bracket into position, ensuring perfect alignment with the factory bolt holes you removed from the centre support beam.
A. Reinstall the nut on the centre beam and clip the sensor back into its original mount.
B. Secure each end of the bracket using the included hardware provided in your installation kit.
Step 6: Reassembly
Well done! Your installation should now look professional and secure.
From here, simply follow all the previous steps in reverse order to reinstall your bumper and grille assembly:
- Reinstall bumper and secure with all clips and nuts,
- REMEMBER: Reconnect the electrical plugs on passenger side
- Reinstall wheel arch clips
- Reinstall top shroud assembly and clips
- Reconnect battery ground terminal
Your Gen3 D-MAX is now ready for enhanced lighting performance with the stealth bracket perfectly integrated into it's design.
