Spectrum Pro RGB-W Rock Light Installation Guide

Spectrum Pro RGB-W Rock Light Installation Guide

This guide covers the full installation of the ALTIQ™ Spectrum Pro RGBW Rock Light kit — mounting, wiring, connector handling, and app pairing. It applies to both the 6-pack and 8-pack configurations.

What's Included

  • 6 or 8 x Spectrum Pro RGBW LED Rock Lights
  • 6 or 8 x 30° Rubber Mounts
  • Mounting bolts and self-tapping screws
  • 1 x Bluetooth RGBW LED Control Box
  • 1 x Wiring Harness — switch, fuse included

Step 1 — Mounting

Each Spectrum Pro uses a single-bolt mounting system through the centre of the light. Two fastener options are included — select based on your mounting location:

  • Machine Screw — use where you have rear access to the mounting surface. Secure with the Washer, Split Washer, and Nut.
  • Self-Drilling Screw — use where rear access is not possible. Confirm there is nothing behind the surface before drilling. Secure with the Shoulder Washer.

The 30° Rubber Mount is included for when you want to angle the light. A Flat Rubber Mount is available separately if needed.

Warning — Do not overtighten. Maximum torque is 15Nm. Exceeding this will damage the light.

Once secured, press the waterproof Rubber Cap into the centre screw hole and snap the Optic Cover into place. Repeat for all lights in the kit.

Wire Routing

The Rubber Mount supports two cable exit configurations:

  • Rear Exit — cable exits through the back of the mount, suited to panel mounting where the cable runs behind the surface.
  • Surface Mount — cable exits through the bottom, suited to exposed or external mounting positions.

Step 2 — Wiring

Route cables from each light along the chassis towards the engine bay, securing with cable ties as you go. In areas where cables may contact sharp edges or moving parts, protect with split conduit.

  1. Mount the Control Box in a dry, protected location in or near the engine bay.
  2. Connect each light's Waterproof Connector to the outputs on the Control Box.
  3. Connect the Battery Terminals — red to positive (inline fuse on positive line), black to negative.

Keyed Connectors

Each Waterproof Connector is keyed and inserts one way only. Align the connector carefully before pushing it in, then thread the waterproof collar until locked. Do not force the connection — misaligned pins will bend or break.

Isolator Switch Routing (Optional)

Route the Isolator Switch cable through the firewall grommet and mount within reach of the driver. If you disconnect the switch pins to feed the cable through, refit them in the correct order:

Pin Pin Colour Wire Colour Function
Pin 1 Gold Black Negative / Ground
Pin 2 Silver Red Accessory-switched 12V
Pin 3 Silver Blue Constant 12V

Warning — Incorrect pin wiring will cause harness failure.

Step 3 — App Pairing

The Spectrum Pro is controlled via the Happy Lighting app — available on iPhone and Android.

  1. Turn on the Isolator Switch.
  2. Scan the QR code to download the Happy Lighting app.
  3. Enable Bluetooth on your phone and open the app.
  4. Pair the lights in the app.

From the app you can set custom colours, adjust brightness, create up to six presets, sync multiple kits, and activate Music Mode to synchronise with audio.
